Swindon Town Football in the Community Trust are kicking off a 4 week season for players with a visual impairment (VI) after Easter. The sessions will take place at the new Futsal Arena in Swindon. The sessions will be fun-based with the coaches developing the players in different areas such as passing, dribbling, shooting, attacking and defending.
The sessions will run as follows:
Mondays
4.30-5.30pm
£2.50 per week (paid up front for 4 weeks)
20th & 27th April, 11th & 18th May 2009
The session was set up through the disability startegy after a Soccer Sight launch held at the County Ground in December 2008. Soccer Sight is a project which enables STFC supporters dedicated, descriptive commentary from specially trained commentators. This allows VI supporters to enjoy the whole matchday experience that little bit more.
If you would like more information on the 4 week sessions or on STFC Soccer Sight then please contact Adam Greaney.
