Swindon Rockets (Powerchair Football)

Swindon Rockets Swindon Rockets have come a long way over the past year. A group of wheelchair users apoproached the disability strategy to see whether there was any opportunity to participate in the game of wheelchair football. A year down the line Swindon Rockets Powerchair FC was formed and the club now has over 10 playing members, have formed a committee and are now currently in the process of raising much needed funds which will enable them to be able to compete in the National Powerchair Football League.

To take part in the league Swindon Rockets require specialist wheelchairs which cost around £4000 each which they are currently working towards.In the meantime the club are training on a weekly basis at Nova Hreod School, Swindon on Mondays 6:00-8:00pm.
