Salisbury City Tigers (Adult Learning Disability Team)
.jpg)
Salisbury City Tigers are a team which have been set up for adults with learning difficulties in the Salisbury area. The disability strategy has supported the team throughout the process of the team setting up. The tigers have played in several friendly adult festivals in Swindon and Wiltshire. The team are now in the process of affiliating and participating in the South West Ability Counts Regional League.
This is a fantastic opportunity for these players to compete in small sided games against the best in the South West. The team train on a weekly basis at Five Rivers Leisure Centre, Salisbury and will hopefully be playing in six different festivals throughout the 2008/09 season.
Salisbury Tigers FC recently hosted a Wiltshire Adult friendly festival which saw three teams from Swindon go down and compete in. The event was extremely successful and provided these players with an opportunity to show off their skills. Credit must go to Dave Willcox and John Palmer of Sailsbury Tigers FC who were instrumental in planning and organising the event.
